Leadership transition announced at MS Amlin Insurance S.E.
MS Amlin Insurance S.E. (MS AISE) is pleased to announce a key leadership change in preparation for announced merger with MSIG Insurance Europe AG.
Klaus M. Przybyla, current CEO of MSIGEU, is appointed as the new CEO of MS Amlin Insurance (and will continue in this role as CEO after the announced merger). To ensure a smooth transition and to gain a deep understanding of MS AISE, Mr. Przybyla will assume the role of CEO of MS AISE effective October 1st, 2024. This appointment will allow him to closely engage with the company’s operations and employees before the merger takes place, positioning him to lead the combined entity to future success.
“This transition marks a pivotal moment in MS AISE’s leadership, aligning with the strategic goals of the aimed merger. We are confident that Klaus M. Przybyla, with his extensive international experience and deep expertise in the insurance industry, is exceptionally well-positioned to guide the company through this critical period and drive continued success“, said Akihiko Ikeno, Director of the Board and Managing Executive Officer of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company Limited.
He has served as CEO of MSIG Insurance Europe AG for nearly 12 years and has played a significant role in driving growth and positive financial results. The appointment of Mr. Przybyla as Executive Officer of the parent company MSI in Japan in April 2024 further highlights his capacity to lead at a global scale.
Outgoing CEO, Ludovic Sénécaut, has been at the helm of MS AISE since April 2020, navigating the company through one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Under his leadership, the company successfully adapted to the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving key milestones such as the successful execution of the 2025 strategy and the introduction of new systems, robotics and artificial intelligence-based processes.
“We are incredibly grateful for Ludovic Sénécaut’s leadership and dedication during his tenure,” said Peer van Harten, Chair of the Board. “His contributions have positioned us for future success, and we are excited to welcome Klaus M. Przybyla to lead us into this next chapter.”
As part of the transition, Klaus M. Przybyla will step down as CEO of MSIGEU on September 30th, 2024, and will focus on familiarizing himself with the operations, processes, and employees of MS AISE, further strengthening the company ahead of the announced merger.
This leadership transition comes as MS AISE looks forward to the opportunities the intended merger will bring to its employees, customers, and stakeholders.
